Most people who study Fibonacci with respect to trading will eventually look over at least some of the work of Gann. Gann’s work is pretty extensive and I won’t get into it in this book, except for pointing out one interesting observation that came to me one day when playing with the Fib numbers and my calculator.
A Brief Look at Gann
I wasn’t sure if
I should even include this brief look, and if I did, should it be in some sort
of appendix. I decided to have it be a short chapter before we move on. Most
people who study Fibonacci with respect to trading will eventually look over at
least some of the work of Gann. Gann’s work is pretty extensive and I won’t get
into it in this book, except for pointing out one interesting observation that
came to me one day when playing with the Fib numbers and my calculator.
I am only going
to make one comment here: Hmmmmm. No, they are not exact, but when you see the
Fibonaccis in use, and see that we aren’t looking at these numbers as exact
points but as areas to look at, it sure makes me wonder. These eighths Gann
spoke of are just so close to the Fibonacci numbers. Was the same idea
discovered from two different routes? I’ve never seen this presented anywhere
before. I think it is worth thinking about, and I wanted to provide some food
for thought for the reader.
